~6:30 am:  Started the day by going for a bike ride down to the point to check the surf to see the epic size had diminished from the daybefore - it had not - it was a bit larger (like 16'). Jasmine was a bit pissed, sheusually goes for the ride but she couldn't because we are taking careof hercousin 'tiger-lilly' the Dachsund from Orange County.

~8:00 am: Watched the Life Guards pull three, rather rugged looking, surfers from the water who were being pulled uncontrolibly into the pier.  They were being pulled from the water without their surfborads, which they were retriving from the other side of the pier.  I tried to catch this as a digital image but I was too busy shooting Alison because she had just finished her early morning Yoga at the end of the pier - aftrewards she was glowing and, better yet,  she was in a great mood.

~9:00 - 11:00 am:
Got ready to go inland to Simi Valley to aunt Donna's house for the annual feast. Aside from the pre-feast deep-breathing, Alihad me cleaning the house, garage and back yard while she made herself super-cute.  Basically really boring stuff, but while I was suposedly woking I was really snapping shots of the flowers that we blooming in our yard.

.
~11:00 - 12:00:  Little traffic on the way to Simi Valley.  Ali and I had a pretty good time listening to one another yap.

~12:00 - 2:00 pm:
Ate kinda like a pig, which is not a good thing - I have been having a few fitness issues while sufing lately - nothing serious but still a little sometimes a little confortable.  It was great tosee the family, some of whom we have not seen for close to a year. The gang from Orange County seemed in good spirits and Donna and Tom dida great job with supper.

2:00 - 3:30 pm:  The annual post-feast walk down to the washbehind Donna's house to pick up rocks and check out the barnyard animals.

9:00 pm.  Ashley and I went down to the local beach ('school house' and the 'dredge') to make sure that the surf was not waning in anticipation of an early morning surf session on Friday.  The wind was really strong and so was the surf, lets hope that the wind dies down before morning.  We went on skateboards - I got to ride my new, and very trick, World Industries board while Ash got stuck with the 1984 vintage western-Mass Kmart Veriflex board.
