The Cat That Missed the Party

After the big party, that happened last weekend, ended we realized that we had not seen our recently adopted wild cat Sophie.  It is a pretty long story about how we eneded up with the only cat, at the Ventura County Humane Society in Ojai, that was captured from the wild.  For some reason Ali wascompelled to seek out the only cat at the shelter who was caged in the cornerand strictly not allowed in the kitty condo - ask me about it, for it isa funny story.  In any case the cat is fine but one still has to donnthe elbow length welding gloves to cuddle her.

This week has pretty badd for surfing - it rainedeveryother day and there was virtually no swell the entire week.  Aboveisa photo that I took on Turesday while driving up to Santa Barabara. You cancontrast this with the amazing surf that we encountered a week earlierwhile at the Faria StatePark about 8 miles north of my house (This mediawas captured by my friendand fellow hacker Chad Berkley).

I guess that the most excitement that I had this week stemed from setting up my new server on which I am hosting www.vegbank.org.  I know that this pretty ridiculous, that I can get excited about a new server, I guess that I am a geek. The server is aDell Poweredge 1400, has a 1.26 Mhz processor and half a gigof ram and will compile all the code I have wriiten over the last 2 yearsin a matter of seconds.
